WHY THE COLLABORATION YOU ASK?

Both Wusthof knives and Halloween provide the perfect slice!

With cutting edge technology (pun intended), Wusthof uses the latest robotics and lasers to create long lasting, high quality products. Michael Myers, a slasher icon and has sharp experience with knives making him the perfect ambassador of this collaboration.

PROBLEM

There is a lack of engagement between millennial's and culinary sets. Millennial's are uninformed and unaware of the importance of quality cutlery. Current advertising is not attention-grabbing nor does it differ from competitors.

INSIGHT

The pandemic has increased the amount of people cooking from home by 60%, and 71% of people say they will continue to do so. The Halloween franchise created a loyal following that has grown since the first movie premiere in 1978. Both insights give Wusthof more accessibility to their prime target.

SOLUTION

Inform, Educate, Excite. Create product that is relatable and exciting to use for both home cooks and horror junkies while spreading awareness via social media, streaming platforms, and ooh campaigns.

How better to attract Halloween’s original fan base than to reincarnate the series of famous posters? With Wusthofs help fans will get a laugh out of the new rendition and play on words.

The collaboration will feature Wusthofs Classic Ikon 6” Chef Knife in four different available designs and sleeves.

Wusthof’s homepage will feature the knives for the whole month of October.

Well the tables have turned. The custom knife block insists Micheal wont be returning from the dead this time.
